Our primary areas of research:

• Digitalization and smart technologies in agriculture and food production: digital mapping, remote sensing applications, soil diagnostics, precision and smart applications in soil fertility management;
• Sustanable environment, production security and food chain: environmental analysis and monitoring, irrigation development, climate-smart applications;
• Global food supply and security: projects in Africa (FNSSA), soil specific pllication of agrochemicals;
• Climate adaptation, reduction of carbon emissions, conservtion of water and biodiversity: precision irrigation, agrotechniques supporting carbon capture and improving biodiversity, biomass management;
• Resource-efficiency and circular economy: waste management and the increasing the utilization of by-products in soil fertility management;
• Social and economic innovation for improving the qulity of life: developing digital competence and digital contents.
